MBombay Corojo Maduro Oscuro
***First and foremost, I want to send a hearty THANK YOU to the folks over at MBombay who provided this cigar for review.

Details of this fine cigar:
Description: From MBomay's website (www.bombaytobak.com) this is described as: "Harmonious notes of ground coffee, spice, dark chocolate, and residual sweetness… this mouthwatering Expression".
Wrapper: Ecuadorian Binder: Ecuadorian Filler: Ecuador, Peru, & Dominican Republic Full Bodied with a full 5 points.

First Look: This Stick has a very smooth, dark brown wrapper, there were some texture and fine veins, but the leaf was overall silky. The wrapper smelled fantastic, and unique. In my experience, broadleaf maduro wrappers have a spicy and cool, citrus kind of aromatic to them, and this was similar but more earthy and sweet with hints of coffee. There was an herbal aspect as well, something that lingered, so I spent a few minutes just smelling this cigar and trying to discern individual notes in the overall profile. It's very promising when a wrapper is so distinct and aromatic. The Band itself was very pleasing to the eye, and in it's simplicity you got the sense that the artful presentation was not just a coincidence.
Cold Draw: Immediately following the cut I spent a few moments just taking in the Floral, Spicy and Chocolatey sweetness that insisted on being enjoyed. Great pull on the draw, and the double-cap made it Feel very solid, but not hard. This in my experience leads me to believe it was well-constructed, and wrapped full of blended tobacco. Based on the taste, I wanted to rush in and light it up.
First Draw: Very smooth, creamy smoke that highlighted a Floral, earthy, sweet and spicy complexity that I was not expecting. I would put the body at medium-full, and the smoke production was very nice. It didn't quite pour off the foot like other cigars I've had, but the plumes I blew out of my mouth were thick and white. That sweet, earthy and herbal aroma lingered in the air, and was very pleasant. There were times when I tasted dark chocolate, and for a good bit I couldn't quite put my finger on the other taste. I finally settled on "Nutmeg" as the mysertious flavor, and overall this balanced out the profile very well.
First 3rd: I found myself repeating the thought over and over that the Cigar was pleasantly smooth. The creamy, thick smoke coated my pallete and encouraged me to puff on with certain glee. The Ash held on for ages, and had no indication of falling off. During my Review Video I knocked the cigar off the table which of course destroyed the evidence, but I believe it would have held on for a long while. The flavors remained steady, and began to build up and I approached the middle third. Hints of coffee, much like that of a bitter espresso crept in which just furthered the enjoyment that I was experiencing. I felt as though I was on a journey through a mad love-affair with that sexy woman you thought you had no chance to even talk with. I noted that this was certainly a "Gentlmen's Cigar" that was sophisticated, Complex, beyond the average experience. Coupled with the Single Barrel Whiskey, I found myself in a deeper complexity that simply highlighted the flavors I was already tasting.
Half Way There: "Smooth", "Creamy", Sweetness continued as expected and continued to draw me in. Burn however at this point was a little off, but it quickly returned to a razors edge. The strength really picked up at this point and it had a definite potency to the cigar, but that didn't stop it from remaining smooth. I was surprised by this, as usually when the strength builds, the bitterness does as well.
Onward to the Nub: In some cases, I've simply put out the cigar at the Nub due to the heat factor, or because the cigar is no longer enjoyable. This was NOT the case with this cigar, I didn't want to put it out, in fact I considered lighting up the second stick I had been sent. At times I found myslef chuckling because as cold as it was outside, I could not bring myself to end the journey. I'd began to relish the toothy, sweet and spicy smoke that I'd been treated to.

Conclusion and Recommendation: This cigar was absolutely FANTASIC from foot to nub! One of the best experiences I've had to date with any cigar. This was a unique flavor profile that left me wanting more. As in every case, I have to determine wether or not I'd recommend this Cigar. Obviously through this review you've seen that I would highly recoomend this stick to anyone, and I will do everything I can to ensure that I tell as many people as possible about this cigar, brand, and vitola. This actually has earned my very first 9/10 rating, and it's with good reason. From the Dark Oily wrapper, to it's beautiful construction, this cigar gave me more than a good time. If you have that one brand you've never tried...you should definitely add this to your stable of go-to smokes!
Well done MBombay, you've knocked this one out of the park! I will be on the hunt for these!
